This Old World

The feel overall is amazing. However, the red-wash made it hard for me to tell who Celestia's companion was without zooming in. On a little laptop screen. The lack of rainbow near Celestia's head also briefly confused me. (Looking back, I don't know how I missed Twilight?) Once I saw Twilight contentedly dozing next to her concerned-looking mentor, the emotional weight of the scene struck me.

The weight of a thousand lonely years and the concern for her naive student's next thousand years, perhaps tempered with the pleasance of companionship, combine to give Celestia an inscrutable look. I don't know whether to cry, curl up on the grass next to Twilight and go to sleep, or give Celestia a shoulder to cry on. But I want to be there, and I feel so close.
